Effective immediately Knife River Campground will no longer accept reservations for short-term camping. In 2017 the format of the campground will focus on seasonal camping.
What does this mean?
Imagine your piece of Minnesota's North Shore at a fraction of the cost of traditional property ownership. The campground will be leasing campsites for the entire summer. We will be welcoming RVs, park model RVs, tiny houses, cabin tents, micro campers and yurts for extended period stays. Please call for rates and additional information.
For those previous campground guests, this is a new opportunity to relive those memorable experiences on a more permanent basis.
Mission statement for Knife River campground!
To provide like minded individuals the space and place to experience a small/micro-community lifestyle.
Goal
To offer an opportunity that advocates living simply in small dwellings, which ideally incorporates design elements such as solar panels, low water usage and energy saving devices/fixtures. A small/micro-community lifestyle that promotes: outdoor activities, entertainment, art, cooking, fitness activities, shared time together, support and other resources.

Whether you have a traditional RV, park model RV, tiny house, cabin tent, micro camper or yurt, Knife River Campground is the place for your seasonal camping.
The campground has 30 RV/tent sites that include pull-through sites, 30 and 50 Amp electric service, water, sewer and Wi-Fi. For your convenience, our campground has a dumping station, clean restroom facilities and shower building. Most sites have picnic tables and campfire rings. Wood can be bought on site.
Our location is IDEAL! We are just a short walk from one of the best kept secrets of the North Shore; the Knife River beach. With its natural collection of small colorful stones and agates, one can find many "treasures". Our campers also enjoy sunrises, "moonrises", picnics, bonfires, sunbathing, and swimming on our beach.
Our campground is also across the road from a branch of the Superior Hiking Trail and borders the Knife River as well as a local marina! We are an ideal location for river and lake fishing and perfect for access to local restaurants, shops, galleries and a train ride!
